MUA Lip Booms- Review & Swatches!

Hello girls! Today I'm going to show you some lip products and more specifically the MUA Lip Booms which are MUA's only lip products that I own but haven't reviewed yet. (You can see my 1 pound MUA lipsticks review here ,my MUA out there plumping lipglosses review here and my MUA power pouts review here. )

So, what are those Lip Booms? They're a 2-in-1 product which has on one edge a matte lipstick and on the other shade a lipgloss and they're meant to be weared each on their own or combined in 2 different ways (with lipgloss only on the center of the lips or all over the lips)

About the lipgloss part:
If you ask me I didn't like the lipgloss part at all because it contains lots of glitter and it's chunky. I believe it looks really bad, especially on top of the lipstick. The lipglosses that come with shades "OK.COM" , "OMG" and "Cheeky" is not terrible on it's own at least, but the lipglosses that come with shades "Doin good", "it's a situation" and "LMK" look absolutely horrible in my humble opinion. Another thing I have noticed is that the lipglosses that come with shades "OK.COM" and "OMG" are either similar or identical and the same goes for the lipglosses that come with shades "It's a situation" and "LMK".
The only thing I liked about them is the yummy smell, it's a combination of sweet vanilla and caramel I'd say and they're not sticky at all. Still half of them are not wearable at all.

About the matte lipstick part:
I believe those are a hit and miss. Others have an amazing pigmentation, apply good, stay on for hours and are totally matte and others apply patchy, are not matte at all, don't last much and aren't pigmented enough. "Doin good" , "It's a situation" and "LMK" are definitely hits and my favourites among all of them. "OMG" is pretty good but slightly worse in terms of pigmentation and formulation , "OK.COM" is not bad but it didn't impress me at all and it's not a matte at all and "Cheeky" is a total miss. It lacks in pigmentation, you have to build it up too much in order to get the color of the tube in your lips , it applies patchy and it's glossy , it's definitely not matte! So I'd say the first three I mentioned have the best pigmentation and are totally matte and last more than all the others, "OMG" has good pigmentation, I'd say it's semi matte and lasts less than the first three but more than the last two and the last two have quite poor pigmentation, they're not matte and they don't last much, however "OK.COM" is much better than "Cheeky" in terms of quality, still I didn't like it that much. Oh, I forgot to mention all the lipsticks smell amazing just like the lipglosses do which is great!
So I'd advice you to get any of the first four I talked about , maybe "OK.COM" if you're a nude lover although I think you can find much better matte nude lipsticks and definitely DON'T get "Cheeky", it's no good at all!!

OMG : As you can see it's just a nude beige color. Nothing special about it.

Cheeky : A pale barbie pink that looks and feels horrible.

OMG : A pretty peachy pink.

Doing Good: One of my favourite every day lipsticks! It looks good with almost every eye make up!

 It's a situation : I love dark lipsticks and this makes no exception!

LMK : This one is the darkest of all and I love it as much as I love "it's a situation". It's in the same color range just darker.

It sucks, doesn't it? I never use the lipglosses and it's a pity because they smell so good.. I wish Those products were normal lipsticks without the lipgloss part, it would save some space in my lipstick case.

ps: Forgive my lip swatches, I know they're a mess but I was in a hurry :p

Anyway, that's my opinion about the Lip Booms, if I had to pick  two favourites I'd say "it's a situation" and "Doin good".

Make your own custom eyeshadow palette!

Hello girls! Today I'm going to show you a custom palette I made on my own using single matte Jordana eye shadows I got from cherryculture.com and an empty ebay palette. I never got on well with single eyeshadows because I own so many of them that I tend to forget many of thems and not use them as much as I would use them if they were all gathered in a palette. So I decided to create a custom everyday palette with mattes only and since I didn't want to spend much I ordered the exact eyeshadows because I read good reviews about them and the ebay palette was dirty cheap as well.

The eyeshadows turned out to be really nice and pigmented, but I'll be reviewing them in some other post, today I'll only show you the outcome and how to make your own custom palette as well.

Those are the eyeshadows I got.

And here's the outcome! Nice, isn't it?

What you are going to need is a hair straightener, a piece of greaseproof paper and a knife.
So, let's see how the magic happens!

Turn on the hair straightener and wait until it's hot enough. Place a piece of greaseproof paper on the ceramic plate and place the eyeshadow on it (without the lid)

When the eyeshadow is hot enough take it off and grab it with a piece of cloth so it won't burn you.

Carefully stick a knife...

....and remove the metallic pan.

Let it get cold and remove the glue residue from the metallic pan.

Open the empty palette...

Take the metallic pans it contains out...

and place your depotted metallic pans in. That's it!

Bioten CC Light - It's a review!

Γεια σας! Τον προηγούμενο μήνα μεταξύ άλλων "τσίμπησα" και την καινούρια CC της Bioten από το Zampple, μου είχε κινήσει το ενδιαφέρον απ'όταν την πρωτοείδα στα ράφια οπότε εννοείται την πήρα να την δοκιμάσω!

Τι υπόσχεται :
1. Προσφέρει ομοιόμορφο τόνο στην επιδερμίδα και τη διατηρεί λαμπερή κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας,χάρη  στα μεταλλικά χρωστικά στοιχεία και στα προηγμένα φυσικά συστατικά.
2. Καλύπτει ατέλειες όπως σπυράκια, κηλίδες, σημάδια κόπωσης και λεπτές γραμμές.
3. Φωτίζει την επιδερμίδα αναδεικνύοντας τον φυσικό της τόνο.
4.Παρέχει άμεση ενυδάτωση που διαρκεί έως 24 ώρες, χάρη στο Hydronutrient 24H και στο 100% φυσικό εκχύλισμα κυδωνιού που περοέρχεται από ήπιες και φιλικές προς το περιβάλλον μεθόδους παραγωγής.
5. Απορροφάται γρήγορα από το δέρμα εξαιτίας της ελαφριάς υφής της και παρέχει τέλεια κάλυψη.
6. Προστατεύει το δέρμα από τις ακτίνες UVA/UVB και την πρόωρη γήρανση.SPF20.

Λέει πως είναι 100% φυσική και paraben/paraffin free και πως είναι κατάλληλη για ηλικίες από 15 έως 45 αλλά ενδείκνυται περισσότερο για ηλικίες μεταξύ 20 και 35.

Τι έχω να πω εγώ :
1.Προσφέρει όντως ομοιόμορφο τόνο στην επιδερμίδα και ναι, δίνει μια διακριτική φυσική γυαλάδα.
2.Δεν έχω ιδιέταιρες ατέλειες να καλύψω και δεν έχω καθόλου ακμή, έχω μόνο κάποιες κοκκινίλες στα μάγουλα που οφείλονται σε ευρυαγγείες και τις κάλυψε ελαφρώς, αλλά όχι τελείως. Μπορείτε βέβαια να βάλετε και μια δεύτερη στρώση προϊόντος αλλά θεωρώ πως θα βαρύνει πολύ το όλο αποτέλεσμα και είναι προτιμότερο να χρησιμοποιήσετε concealer για έξτρα κάλυψη. Αν βρήκα εγώ πως έχει μικρή κάλυψη που δεν έχω καν ιδιέταιρο πρόβλημα, σίγουρα δεν νομίζω πως είναι κατάλληλο για μια κοπέλα με έντονη ακμή που χρειάζεται καλή κάλυψη.
3.Ναι, η επιδερμίδα δείχνει πιο φωτεινή αλλά δεν καταλαβαίνω καν τι θέλει να πει ο ποιητής με το ''αναδεικνύοντας τον φυσικό της τόνο"..Επίσης, τι λάμψη, τι φωτεινότητα..πάνω κάτω τα ίδια λέει και στην 1η υπόσχεση.Κάτι μου λέει πως οι εταιρείες ψάχνουν απλά τρόπους να κάνουν ένα προϊόν να φανεί πιο εντυπωσιακό λέγοντας τα ίδια πράγματα με άλλα λόγια...
4.Είναι όντως πολύ ενυδατική!
5.Απορροφάται-σχετικά-γρήγορα και ναι έχει όντως ελαφριά υφή. Τέλεια κάλυψη ΔΕΝ έχει, τα'παμε και στο 2.
6.Θετικό το ότι έχει δείκτη προστασίας 20 αλλά δεν θα με χάλαγε να είχε μεγαλύτερο.

Τι άλλα έχω να σχολιάσω :
Αφού λοιπόν σας είπα την δική μου άποψη ως προς τις υποσχέσεις του προϊόντος να σας πω επίσης ότι :

• Έχω κανονική προς μεικτή επιδερμίδα με τάσεις ξηρότητας γύρω από το πηγούνι και την μύτη και τάσεις λιπαρότητας στο Τ (τίποτα ακραίο όμως, σπάνια φοράω πούδρα και συνήθως δεν έχω θέμα).Η CC αυτή μου έκατσε καλά αλλά βρήκα ότι αφήνει μία μικρή γυαλάδα, την σέταρα με πούδρα όμως και για πάνω από 8 ώρες που ήμουν έξω δεν εμφάνισε ξανά λιπαρότητα/γυαλάδα, δεν νομίζω όμως ότι θα την πρότεινα σε κοπέλες με λιπαρή επιδερμίδα. 
• Επίσης έχω να σχολιάσω ότι μου άρεσε πολύ περισσότερο το αποτέλεσμα όταν την άπλωσα με πινέλο (buffing brush από real techniques) παρά όταν την άπλωσα με το χέρι, και μάλιστα στην 1η περίπτωση δεν παρατήρησα τόση γυαλάδα όσο στην 2η. 

                

• Είμαι αρκετά ανοιχτόχρωμη και η απόχρωση light μου ταίριαξε γάντι. Στα δεξιά της εικόνας η CC είναι απλωμένη και όπως βλέπετε δεν ξεχωρίζει καν.
• Άσχετο αλλά....λατρεύω την μυρωδιά της! Ξέρω πως δεν είναι λόγος για να αγοράσει κανείς ένα προϊόν για το πρόσωπο βέβαια αλλά για εμένα ήταν ένας λόγος για να μην το αφήσω στα ράφια του zampple..Πείτε με τρελή! Δεν μπορώ να περιγράψω την μυρωδιά αλλά είναι υπέροχη!! 
• Κάλυψη περίμενα να έχει καλύτερη σαν προϊόν κι ας μην την χρειάζομαι..Μου άρεσε όμως αυτή η φωτεινότητα που δίνει στην επιδερμίδα και εννοείται δείχνει ολοφύσικο το αποτέλεσμα και δεν ξεχωρίζει ότι φοράς κάτι..

• Τέλος μου άρεσε πολύ η συσκευασία/στόμιο της γιατί βγάζει την απαραίτητη ποσότητα, όχι σαν κάτι άλλες που έχουν τεράστιο στόμιο και χαραμίζεται άδικα μισός τόνος προϊόν την φορά...

Σε γενικές γραμμές θεωρώ ότι είναι ένα προϊόν ενυδατικό, κατάλληλο για ξηρές/κανονικές/άααντε και μεικτές επιδερμίδες, χαρίζει μια ομοιομορφία/φωτεινότητα αλλά προσφέρει μικρή κάλυψη και έχει και μια μικρή σχετικά αντιηλιακή προστασία. Είναι δηλαδή ιδανικό για καθημερινό μακιγιάζ για όσες δεν έχουν λιπαρή επιδερμίδα και δεν αναζητούν μεγάλη κάλυψη.

Στοιχίζει γύρω στα 7 ευρώ απ'όσο ξέρω και έχει 50 ml, μια χαρά!

Εμένα πάντως μου άρεσε αρκετά και την έχω εντάξει στο καθημερινό μου μακιγιάζ και σκεφτείτε πως δεν φορούσα πότε foundation ή bb cream.

Cherry Culture Haul!

Hello beauties! Today I have another haul post for you! About a month ago Cherry Culture had a -40 % off everything and so I had to take advantage of it and finally try out some NYX and Jordana stuff I wanted for so long! So, let's see what I got!

So, those are all the products I got! Let's see what I got from each brand..

NYX :

I only got three items from NYX. I wanted so many of their round and matte lipsticks but I had never tried them out so I chose one from each series just to see if I like them and go back for more in the future. I bought a round lipstick in the shade Fig which is known to be a dupe for MAC's Chatterbox and a Matte Lipstick in the shade Pure red which kinda looks like MUA's shade 13 but has a different finish and lasts more. I also bought a NYX blush in the shade Taupe. I actually got this for contouring and not to use it as a blush (I saw this on Mata's blog) The blush costs 5.50 $, the matte lipstick 5.50 $ and the round lipstick 3.50 $.

Here's Fig on the left and Pure red on the right swatched on my hand. I tried to swatch Taupe as well butI couldn't take a decent photo to actually show what it looks like.

Milani:

Then I got 5 lipsticks from Milani for the Color Statement series. They are creamy, extremely pigmented, very longlasting and have a gorgeous watermelon smell. Each lipstick costs 5.49 $.

From left to right we have : Uptown mauve, Plumrose, Rose Hip, Flamingo Pose (it's a dupe for MAC's Impassioned!) and Fruit Punch.

Jordana:

From Jordana I got two blushes (Rose silk and Rouge), the Best lash extreme mascara, the eyeshadow primer, three matte lipsticks (Lavender lady, Pink passion and Natural) and 10 matte eyeshadows (4 are from the Color Effects Powder Eyeshadow singles and 6 are from the brow and eyeshadow singles) and I got them in order to make my own custom matte eyeshadows palette. The mascara costs 2.99$, the eyeshadow primer 1.99$, each eyeshadow 1.99$, each blush 2.49$ and each lipstick 1.30$.

 Lipsticks swatches : From left to right : Natural, Pink Passion (dupe for MAC's Please me), Lavender lady.

Eyeshadow swatches : From left to right : Snowy white, white lie, creamy vanilla, natural taupe, light ash brown, light brown, brown, brunette, auburn and total blackout.

Freebie :

I was given away one cherry culture lip balm with my order, I chose the peach flavoured.

So, that's all I got and I got everything 40% minus the prices I wrote above, but the shipping was extremely high, I paid 22 $ for it. Everything, including the shipping and the -40% costed me 56 euros which is a great deal if you ask me for all the goodies I got and so far I'm pretty pleased with everything I got. My order took around 2 weeks to arrive.

Γεια σας κορίτσια! Όπως βλέπετε έκανα κι άλλες αγορές, αυτή την φορά από ένα Αμερικάνικο site, το Cherry Culture! Είχε βάλει 40% έκπτωση στα πάντα κι έτσι δεν γινόταν να αντισταθώ! Τιμούλες και ονόματα για το κάθε τι γράφω από πάνω στα αγγλικά οπότε δεν θα τα ξαναγράψω, απλά θα σας πω 2-3 πραγματάκια συνοπτικά και μπορείτε να δείτε και το βίντεο που γύρισα το οποίο είναι unboxing της παραγγελίας μου!

Όπως θα είδατε οι τιμές είναι πολύ οικονομικές, όλα όσα πήρα κυμαίνονται από 1.30 $ μέχρι 5.50 $ που με το -40  % είναι σα να λέμε από 0.57 ευρώ (μαζί με την έκπτωση) έως 2.41 ευρώ (ενδεικτικά, τα κραγιόν Jordana μου στοίχισαν 0.57 ευρώ το ένα, το ματ κραγιόν και το ρουζ της ΝΥΧ 2.41 ευρώ το ένα και πάει λέγοντας) υπάρχει όμως ένα μεγάλο ΑΛΛΑ.

Τα μεταφορικά είναι πολύ τσιμπημένα. Υπερβολικά για την ακρίβεια. Σε ευρώ τα μεταφορικά της παραγγελίας μου ήταν συνολικά 17 ευρώ περίπου. Αυτό σημαίνει πως όσο οικονομικά κι αν είναι τα προϊόντα μην ξεχνάτε να υπολογίζετε και τα μεταφορικά καθώς πάνε με το βάρος και για κάθε τι που προσθέτετε το καλάθι σας ανεβαίνουν κι αυτά.

Οπότε η δική μου πρόταση είναι να ψωνίζετε από Αμερικάνικα sites και γενικά sites με υψηλά μεταφορικά μόνο όταν έχει κάποια πολύ καλή έκπτωση, έτσι ώστε να καλύψετε τα έξοδα αποστολής έστω :)

Εγώ με το -40 % και τα μεταφορικά πλήρωσα σύνολο 56 ευρώ για όοοολα και είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένη.

MUA Must have palettes! Undressed & Undress me too

Hello girls! Today I'm going to show you two beloved palettes of mine and they're no other than Undressed and Undressed me too from Make up Academy (MUA). I bet those who have been reading my blog already know how much I love this company since it offers quality in extremely low prices and especially their eyeshadows are worth a try, both the single ones and the palettes.

I've had Undressed for more than 10 months and Undress me too for like 5 months and I have been using both non-stop. I have already reviewed the Undressed palette here so I won't be talking again about it, I just thought it would be nice to post some new pictures and swatches of it as my older swatches weren't that good, but my thoughts on it remain the same.

Γεια σας κορίτσια! Σήμερα θα σας δείξω δύο πολυαγαπημένες μου παλέτες που δεν είναι άλλες από τις Undressed και Undress me too από την Make up Academy (MUA). Στοιχηματίζω πως όσες με παρακολουθείτε καιρό γνωρίζετε ήδη την αδυναμία που τρέφω γι'αυτή την εταιρεία καθώς συνδιάζει καλή ποιότητα και πολύ χαμηλές τιμές και ειδικά οι σκιές τους αξίζουν πάρα πολύ μια δοκιμή, τόσο οι παλέτες όσο και οι μονές.

Έχω την Undressed πάνω από 10 μήνες και την Undress me too περίπου 5 μήνες και τις χρησιμοποιώ ασταμάτητα όσο καιρό τις έχω. Έχω ήδη γράψει κριτική για την παλέτα Undressed εδώ οπότε δεν θα ξαναμιλήσω γι'αυτήν, απλώς σκέφτηκα πως θα ήταν καλή ιδέα να ποστάρω κάποιες ανανεωμένες φωτογραφίες και swatches καθώς οι παλιότερες δεν ήταν τόσο καλές, η γνώμη μου όμως παραμένει η ίδια.

Pretty, aren't they? Just in case you don't know those are an exact dupe of the Urban Decay Naked palette, so if you can't afford to buy the naked palette MUA's Undressed is a great alternative choice for only 4 pounds!

Now, let's move to my more recent acquisition which is the Undress me too palette, also known as Urban Decay's Naked 2 dupe.

Δεν είναι όμορφες? Σε περίπτωση που δεν το ξέρετε ήδη είναι ακριβές αντίγραφο της παλέτας Naked  από Urban Decay οπότε αν δεν θέλετε/μπορείτε να αγοράσετε την Naked , η Undressed από MUA είναι μια καταπληκτική εναλλακτική και στοιχίζει μόνο 4 λίρες !

Τώρα ας δούμε το πιο πρόσφατο απόκτημα μου που είναι η Undress me too, επίσης γνωστή ως αντίγραφο της Naked 2 από Urban Decay.

This palette is extremely awesome as well. I t has 3 mattes shades (one is almost matte as you can barely notice extremely fine shimmer but it's really hard to notice) and the rest of them are shimmery. They are very pigmented except a couple of shades but even those are quite pigmented and can be easily built up. They are very soft to touch, apply and blend easily and stay on for long with a good eye primer underneath. I think their formula is even better than Undressed's palette as they hardly crumble at all. Almost all shades are totally wearable and you can create lots of different looks for daytime and night time as well.

I can't really tell which one I love more, they are both amazing and I can't find one single reason to buy the Urban Decay ones now that I own those, they sure don't have such an amazing packaging but the packaging on its own is not a good reason for me to pay almost ten times more than the MUA palettes cost. Their quality is exceptional for the price and I definitely recommend them.

Η παλέτα αυτή είναι εκπληκτική επίσης. Έχει 3 ματ σκιές (αν και η μία είναι σχεδόν ματ καθώς έχει ελάχιστα πολύ,πολύ λίγα και "ψιλά" shimmers που με το ζόρι φαίνονται όμως) και οι υπόλοιπες είναι γυαλιστερές. Έχουν πολύ καλή χρωματική απόδοση εκτός από κανα-δυό που και αυτές όμως δεν έχουν κακή απόδοση και επίσης η απόδοση τους μπορεί να χτιστεί εύκολα. Είναι πολύ απαλές, απλώνονται και αναμειγνύονται εύκολα και μένουν πολλές ώρες με ένα καλό primer ματιών. Νομίζω πως είναι ακόμα καλύτερες από τις σκιές της Undressed καθώς δεν θρυμματίζονται σχεδόν καθόλου. Σχεδόν όλες οι σκιές φοριούνται πολύ εύκολα/άνετα και μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε πολλούς συνδιασμούς κατάλληλους τόσο για πρωινό-απογευματινό μακιγιάζ όσο και βραδινό.

Δεν μπορώ να ξεχωρίσω κάποια από τις δύο, τις αγαπώ εξίσου και δεν μπορώ να βρω έναν λόγο να αγοράσω τις Urban Decay εφ'όσον έχω αυτές. Σίγουρα δεν έχουν τόσο ωραία συσκευασία αλλά και πάλι δεν θεωρώ καλό λόγο την συσκευασία για να πληρώσω περίπου 10 φορές παραπάνω χρήματα. Η ποιότητα τους είναι εξαιρετική για την τιμή τους και τις συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα.
